Causes and Risk Factors
Iritis is often caused by systemic autoimmune conditions such as:
- ankylosing spondylitis
- Reiter's syndrome
- ulcerative colitis
- Crohn's disease
- Still's disease
Other causes include:
- sarcoidosis
- toxoplasmosis
- tuberculosis
- syphilis
- herpes zoster
