Dose and Half Life
- Given parenterally in 40, 80, 160 mg/ml for injection, and 80, 160, 320 mg/ 100 ml in 5% D/W for infusion
- low dose: D1 receptors: dilates renal arteries, increasing GFR
- medium dose: β1 agonist
- high dose: α1 agonist: vasoconstriction (bad)
