Cardiovascular I
This course introduces the cardiovascular system - anatomy, physiology, cell biology - as well as key conditions and diseases and treatments. Cardiovascular II describes more advanced topics related to the cardiovascular system.

Biology
Students will be able to describe the structure and function related to:
- the heart, blood vessels, and blood flow
- heart rate
- cardiac electrophysiology
Conditions and Diseases
Students will be expected to be able to describe the causes and risk factors, pathology, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and complications of the following conditions and diseases:
- atherosclerosis
- angina
- acute coronary syndrome (heart attack)
- congestive heart failure
- hypertension
- stroke (also under neurological)
