- Prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors are used to stop preterm labour.
- Indomethacin inhibits phospholipase A2 and is also used as a tocolytic.
- Oxytocin antagonists (antosiban) has been developed as a tocolytic but is not available in Canada
Indomethicin is an NSAID which is used to maintain suppression of labour
Calcium channel blockers (ie nifedipine)
