Mrs. Dorothy Osigwe Chanda is a lecturer at the Department of Nursing Sciences of the School of Medicine, University of Zambia, Central Africa. She is currently a PHD student in Public Health. Her Thesis is on 'Impact of Training Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) using a Modified Ministry of Health TBA Training Curriculum'. Her General Nurse Training was done at the University Teaching Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria, her Midwifery in the UK and my BScN, MPH, and PhD in Zambia.
She is an internationally renowned Infection prevention specialist, having prime-moved Infection Prevention at the University Teaching Hospital, Lusaka, Zambia, Lusaka Trust Hospital, and the KANDO group of Hospitals in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. She has a Certificate in Nursing Management of HIV/AIDs, and is a Psychosocial counselor.
She is also known by her writing skill which has been demonstrated by her authoring two books. Her books underscore the importance of transferring clinical experiences into the higher and tertiary institutions of learning for the benefits of both at the pre and post service areas, infection prevention practitioners, midwives, and the community volunteers in rural settings.
