Symphysis to Fundal Height
12 weeks: fundus at pubic symphysis
20 weeks: fundus at umbilicus
27 weeks: fundus at sternum
20 cm at 20 weeks, then 1 cm per week. The SFH should be within 2 cm of GA from 20 weeks onwards.
Obesity is the biggest challenge to accurate measurement
Large fundal height can occur with:
- multiples
- innacurate dates
- diabetes
- fibroids
- size of parents
